The entire team, comprised of the Deep Phase Labs fellows, Tanwin Chang, Dan Boland, Carlton Wong, and the Wavelets interns, Sean Park, Naazanene Vatan, Dhruv Ramanujan, Haochen Wang, Sophia Zhang, meets at the Boston Innovation District Hall for the first time!

Each intern had created a unique VR cardboard demo by modifying a previously published project, and they presented their work and the first-ever experience with Unity to the team members. The knowledge-sharing and feedback-based session provided an excellent opportunity in which everyone got to know each other's area of specialty and how they could best contribute to the team.

The Android phones, capable of running Unity and demo projects, also arrived. Time for the Wavelets to dive into exploration!

As it was decided that the final project would revolve around an educational tool demonstrating 3D and VR view of the inside of the cell, the team brainstormed ideas on how to recreate the animations and graphics of a biological cell and considered the necessary components such as user interface and architectural design. The basic blueprint is beginning to surface, but we still have a lot of tasks to accomplish.

The pizza for the lunch was yummy, btw.
